This is how Betty and Tony see their home:
Betty and Tony’s is more like a resort, it's a different kind of Bed and Breakfast. Visualize yourselves spending the afternoon, sitting in the shade of a maple tree on a wide lawn overlooking the water. On the table beside you, tea or coffee and chocolate cake to which you just helped yourselves, or a bottle of wine, crackers and cheese. At your feet, Bailey the chocolate labrador, with a ball or a stick ready for you to throw. In the water, a pedal boat and a canoe you may borrow, and a dock where you could sit and fish if you had time. There’s a binder that has menus of local restaurants for you to look over, but if you prefer not to drive to a restaurant, it’s quite alright to order in take-out food. There are tables and chairs indoors and outside to use for that. Betty and Tony are your hosts, and they are ready to advise you, guide you, and make you feel welcome.
Go inside and walk down the curved, extra wide open stair case to the lower level where the guest rooms are situated. Each guest room is decorated in individual styles with comfortable new beds and amenities, and very large windows. Your bedroom has clean linen and towels, a private bathroom or en-suite facilities, plenty of soap and shampoo etc and if you forgot your toothbrush or sun-screen, there is some in the antique buffet drawer. You get a choice of rooms with twin, queen and king size beds.
So far as we know, Betty and Tony’s is the only Orillia Bed and Breakfast where you can order your choice from a selection of ten cooked dishes, to accompany the fruit, croissants, tea, or coffee and juice that are on the table. We serve on Wedgwood fine bone china, and the table looks wonderful.
Betty and Tony built this house to hug the ground, fit between two exisitng houses and be warm and protected in the winter, they did not build it for a B&B!! A real estate friend says our custom designed home is a raised ranch! People are always amazed how big it is inside by comparison to what it looks like from outside. Come and see for your self!
